THE EISENHOWER MATRIX
Hello, and I hope this week has been kind to you.
A while back I mentioned I'd be sharing practical tools from ACCOMPLISH with this list. This is the first one, and I wanted to make sure it was worth the wait.
But first, let me tell you about Michael.
Michael was a valued, experienced member of a senior management team. The kind of person colleagues relied on and his manager trusted completely. But something had shifted. Deadlines were starting to slip, and the harder he pushed to catch up, the more mistakes crept into his work. By the time he reached out to me, he genuinely felt like he was losing his grip.
When we sat down together and looked at how he was managing his days, something surprised us both. He had no structured system for his priorities at all. No framework or method. Just memory, a few scattered notes and instinct, and it had stopped working.
That realisation shook him. He'd always thought of himself as a consummate professional.
But it also gave us somewhere to start.
We worked together on two tools. One of them was the Eisenhower Matrix, a simple framework that helps you separate what is urgent and important from what can be scheduled, delegated or let go of entirely. Within a few weeks, Michael's deadlines were being met, the errors reduced, and he told me he felt something he hadn't felt in a long time: genuine pride in his work.
I use this tool regularly with the leaders I coach, and I think it's one of the most immediately useful things in Chapter 6 of ACCOMPLISH. So I've put together a fillable, downloadable version you can use straight away, whether that's for yourself, with your team, or both.

Print it, fill it in digitally, share it with a colleague. It's yours.
And if you think someone else on your team would find this useful, please do forward this email to them. That's genuinely the best way this list grows, one trusted recommendation at a time.
Safe travels on your journey,
Nathan
💚 ACCOMPLISH has now sold 304 copies, with the book available on Amazon and stocked in Barnardo's shops across the UK. Every penny goes directly to their work with children and young people. It's currently sitting in the top 50 on Amazon too, which still makes me smile. If you haven't got your copy yet → you can buy it here
PS If you lead a senior team, bulk orders of ACCOMPLISH come with a complimentary meet-the-author day, normally valued at £2,000, where I work directly with your people on the frameworks that matter most to them right now. If that's something worth a conversation, just reply to this email.
